In 1970, I began 2 years of service with the United States Army. During that time, I served voluntary tours of duty in the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Vietnam.

Upon returning home, I served for 5 years as a professional staff member of the US House of Representatives, House Appropriations Committee, Foreign Operations Subcommittee. After 5 rewarding years with the Committee, I left the Hill and began a long and rewarding career in the residential real estate industry in my city, Washington DC.
