More About Me

After service in the US Army(volunteering for tours of duty in Korea and Vietnam), I moved to Capitol Hill to take a position with the House of Representatives, Appropriations Committee. After 5 rewarding years with the Committee, my brother lured me away to manage his second office of his fledgling real estate company, Dale Denton Real Estate. The residential market was HOT on Capitol Hill. Six months after taking the leap, residential mortgage rates jumped to 16%. A death spiral for our residential market place. It was 2 years before we started seeing life in our market again. Even with it's ups and downs, I have never looked back.

Over the decades, we have built an office culture that thrives on community involvement . Early on, we decided to make community service and support one of the hallmarks of our business. Over the years, we have supported a myriad of community schools and organizations. We, our agents and our company, have invested over a million dollars and thousands of service hours in these pillars of Capitol Hill. Along the way, our office has had 6 Capitol Hill Community Foundation Achievement Award winners. Our agents have served and still serves on many, many boards. I have served as two time past President of the Capitol Hill Association of Merchants and Professionals, four time Chairman of the St. Peters School Board of Directors, and currently serve as Chairman of the Capitol Hill BID, Board of Directors Barracks Row Main Street and Board of Directors Capitol Hill Community Foundation. I am a past President of the Washington DC Association of Realtors and 2 term President of the Capitol Hill Association of Merchants and Professions(CHAMPS).

I am an unabashed cheerleader for life in Washington DC and specifically on Capitol Hill. Along the way, I met my wonderful wife Jean here on the Hill and we have raised two fabulous children here. Real city kids,
